The announcer’s voice boomed across the stadium, full of energy and flair.

“Our next match, though both are young lads and lasses, we have a monkey child by the name of Rutaba! And his opponent Lady Lillie! Let our next match be filled with passion, determination, and fists that show no gender discrimination!”

For half a second, the arena waited.

Then— BOOM!

Rutaba burst out of the waiting room tunnel like a rocket, running full speed with his arms pumping and blue ki flaring wildly around him. He didn’t walk. He didn’t pose. He sprinted straight down the ramp and launched himself high into the air with a powerful jump.

He crashed down hard in the center of the ring, cracking the tiles under his boots and sending a ring of dust exploding outward. He stayed crouched low for a second, one fist pressed against the ground as bright blue sparks crackled across his shoulders and arms. His tail lashed excitedly behind him.

Slowly, Rutaba stood up, breathing fast, eyes wide as he looked around at the massive roaring crowd filling the stands.

“…Woahhh!” he yelled, unable to hold it in. “There’s so many people! This is awesome!”

The crowd laughed and cheered at the tiny fighter’s honest reaction. Rutaba’s stunned face quickly flipped into a huge, toothy grin. He rolled his shoulders once, bouncing lightly on his toes as he threw a couple quick punches into the air — snap snap — testing the feel of the ring.

His eyes locked onto the opposite entrance where his opponent would appear. He pointed straight ahead, tail whipping behind him.

“Hey, Lilli!” he shouted loudly, voice full of pure excitement. “You better be strong, okay?! I’ve been training really hard!”

A fierce flicker of blue ki spiraled tightly around his clenched fist as he dropped into a loose fighting stance in the center of the ring.

“‘Cause I’m not holding back at all! Let’s have a super fun fight!”

The crowd erupted even louder. Rutaba’s grin widened — sharp, eager, and completely wild with Saiyan energy. He bounced on his toes again, unable to stay still, eyes burning with excitement as he waited for his opponent to appear.

This was it.

Finally… it was his turn.

Lady Lilli

The announcer's voice faded into background noise as Lilli watched Rutaba's extremely flash entrance. "What a showoff… hmph," she muttered, tooting her nose in disdain at the wanna-be hero. Lilli was not impressed. Arms crossed, she tapped her foot, as she was noticeable irritated. She couldn't wait to wipe that grin off the "stupid monkey boy's" face. A flicker of something akin to admiration sparked within her. "Maybe he won't be such a waste of time after all," she whispered, just loud enough for herself to hear. Confidence radiating from her like heat, Lilly ascended the stairs into the arena. Her eyes, locked onto Rutaba, burned with an intensity that could melt steel. No smile, no theatrics – just pure, unadulterated focus. The crowd roared, a wave of sound that washed over her, but Lilli remained unmoved, her gaze unwavering. Despite her small frame, everyone knew Lilli packed a punch that could shatter mountains.

*SNAP*

The sound reverberated through the arena, a thunderclap that silenced the roaring crowd. The ground beneath her feet groaned, dark lines of energy pulsing outwards like veins beneath the surface with each echoing snap. It was a simple gesture, a mere flick of her wrist, yet it spoke volumes about the power she possessed. The air crackled with anticipation. It was a simple gesture, a mere flick of her wrist, yet it spoke volumes about the power she possessed. The air crackled with anticipation. Lilli was here, and she was ready.

"You arrogant fool, Lady Lilli is the strongest!!!" she shouted, the words laced with a venom that cut through the lingering echoes of the snap.

She settled into her battle stance, a posture both elegant and deadly. Elbows bent like a praying mantis, feet set slightly wider than her shoulders, she shifted her weight forward, poised to strike. Her back leg remained slightly curved, a coiled spring ready to unleash explosive movement. Then, a strange energy emanated from her, not upwards in a showy display, but downwards, sinking into the arena floor. It dissipated, unseen at first, then a magical spectacle began to unfold. The crowd erupted, a cacophony of gasps and cheers. The roar was insane, a tidal wave of sound that sent shivers down Lilli's spine, yet she remained focused. The magical energy, now woven into the very fabric of the floor, began to glow, enchanting the surface with a radiant light. The arena floor shimmered, ready to amplify her every move.

"Hey Ratuba!" Lilli shouted, her voice ringing with confidence, "I'm gonna take you down, ya little brat! Don't think for a second that you're stronger just because you are a boy" The taunt hung in the air as she mocked Rutaba's height even though she was only a few inches taller, Lilli voiced a clear warning that she was prepared for battle. Her eyes locked onto her opponent, sharp and unwavering, waiting for the slightest twitch, the almost imperceptible shift of a muscle. The young Lady was a prodigy, and those who underestimated her, even for a moment, often found themselves regretting it, sometimes literally six feet under. The air crackled with anticipation, the tension palpable as the two fighters faced off.

Rutaba’s grin never faded the whole time Lilli was talking.

If anything, it got even bigger.

He stood in the center of the ring, hands loose at his sides, tail swaying behind him as he watched her stomp in and crack the ground with that loud SNAP. The sound made him blink once.

“…Woah.” He leaned forward, eyes wide with excitement instead of fear. When she yelled that Lady Lilli was the strongest, Rutaba instantly pointed at himself.

“Nuh-uh!”

The crowd burst out laughing.

He bounced on his toes, blue ki flickering tightly around his arms. “And it’s Rutaba!” he shouted back, puffing his cheeks. “You said it wrong!”

When she called him a little brat, Rutaba looked her up and down.

“…You’re tiny too,” he said bluntly.

His tail whipped faster as his grin sharpened. He rolled his shoulders and dropped into a loose stance.

“I never said I was stronger just ’cause I’m a boy,” he fired back. “I said I’m not holding back ’cause this is gonna be fun!”

A tight burst of blue ki pulsed around him before settling close. He crouched lower, tail lashing with excitement.

“You feel strong,” he admitted honestly, eyes locked on her. “Way stronger than the people outside.”

His wild grin stayed plastered on his face.

“…So hit me already! I’m ready!”

The second those words left his mouth—

BOOM!

The tiles beneath Rutaba’s feet shattered as he exploded forward like a blue comet.

He shot across the ring in a blazing streak, leaving cracking lines spidering through the arena floor behind him. His small body stayed low, fists clenched tight, blue ki flaring wildly around him as he charged straight at Lilli head-on with pure, unfiltered Saiyan excitement.

No hesitation.

No fear.

Just raw, joyful aggression.

The distance between them closed in an instant as Rutaba launched himself forward, ready to unleash everything he had—

Lady Lilli

A sly smirk crossed Lilli's lips. She was already three steps ahead of her opponent, she was in head, she proved that once again her opponent was sure to underestimate her, she maintained her combat stance patiently waiting for Rutaba to make a move, stalking him like a predator waiting to strike.

Rutaba: “Nuh-uh!” the monkey boy responded to Lilli as began to entertain the crowd

Lilli, with a swiftness that belied her delicate frame, had already shifted her stance, her eyes gleaming with determination as she continued stalking her opponent. After magical energy infused with the ring, it was now under her dominion, pulsing with an energy that resonated deep within her core. A smirk played on her lips as she gained control of the ring itself, bending to her will. She watched as Rutaba bounce around seeming to participate in what seemed to be a warmup ritual. However, one bounce was already one too many. At the peak of his final bounce, the ground beneath his feet had quietly emerged a gaping hole exactly six feet deep, suddenly engulfing him in darkness as he made his descent into an early grave had he not acted in time. Lilli possessed the magical ability to use “Earth Manipulation”, and as Rutaba descended into the hole, she would close it as fast it opened trapping him inside. Lilli would follow up this technique with a few earth tremors (Quake Step Blitz) to cause her trapped opponent distress and discomfort; by stomping around like she was throwing a wild tantrum before childishly mocking them and strutting for the crowd. She was tough as she was adorable, yet she always ended up being the one who was underestimated. The monkey child didn’t even realize the magical energy scattering around the arena she and she doubt he was able to sense it at all which would make setting up a trap a bit easier.

"You shouldn't underestimate, Thee!!..." She paused for just a moment to let her opponent's humiliation sink in. "Lady Lilli"

The crowd roared, their cheers and praises, always managed to inspired Lilli to do her best. She was too stubborn to lose in front of everyone, she felt that could not afford nor endure such humiliation. Had her pride and ego been destroyed, dreams shattered, Lilli could not bear the thought of being defeated effortlessly, like she had done most of her competition. She had no intentions in becoming a failure, there was no amount of shame she was willing to endure.

Rutaba barely had time to process what happened. One second he was bouncing on his toes. The next, the arena floor vanished beneath him.

“WHA—?!”

His eyes shot wide as he dropped straight into darkness. The ground sealed shut above him with a heavy THUD. Then the violent shaking started — Lilli’s stomps hammering through the earth, sending dirt and rocks crashing down around him as the underground space groaned and threatened to collapse.

For a few chaotic seconds, everything was dark and rumbling.

Then Rutaba started laughing.

“Heh…! Okay, that was actually really cool!”

Blue ki exploded around him in bright bursts, lighting up the pit with flashes of blue and orange-red sparks. His tail whipped wildly as his grin returned, sharper than before.

“She controls the earth, huh…?”

His eyes narrowed with excitement.

“Got it!”

BOOOOM!!

Rutaba blasted upward like a cannon shot, tearing through layers of rock and dirt in a spiraling storm of blue ki. The arena floor erupted violently in front of Lilli as he shot back into the open air in an explosion of debris.

The crowd went wild.

Rutaba flipped once mid-air before slamming down into a low crouch, breathing hard, covered in dust, but grinning like a maniac.

“HAHA!! You almost got me with that one!” he shouted, wiping dirt off his cheek. “That was sneaky!”

He pushed himself upright, tail lashing excitedly. His eyes flicked to the shattered floor, then back to Lilli, sparkling with pure thrill.

“But if you control the ground…”

Rutaba kicked off hard and launched high into the air, hovering far above the ring so his feet couldn’t touch anything.

“…then I just won’t stay on it!”

He pointed straight down at her, grin turning feral.

“No ground. No trap!”

Blue ki crackled violently around his small body as he dropped into a fighting stance mid-air.

“So c’mon, Lilli—”

His eyes flashed with wild excitement.

“—It’s MY turn now!”

BOOOOM!!

Rutaba rocketed forward like a blue comet and roared at the top of his lungs:

“METEOR SMASH RUSH!!!”

He came crashing in knee-first with explosive force, chaining into a heavy double-fisted hammer blow from above, a spinning kick, and a powerful stomping axe kick that slammed down with everything he had. Blue ki and orange-red sparks detonated off his limbs with every strike as he unleashed the full combo relentlessly.

The crowd roared for Lilli, a tidal wave of sound crashing over the arena. Each chant was a brushstroke painting her as a young, revered goddess. She offered a smile, but it didn't quite reach her eyes, her guard never faltering. Beneath the surface of her calm, she pulsed with anticipation, knowing that despite having seemingly buried her opponent, the battle was far from over. She synchronized her magical energy with the battlefield, the ring becoming an extension of her will. Every vibration, every breath Rutaba took, echoed in her mind.

Rutaba exploded from beneath the ring, flipping through the air in a dazzling display of acrobatic prowess. "Hmph..." Lilli's response was a subtle dance of her own—arms rotating, feet sliding back, each motion imbued with purpose. He's fast, but predictable, she mused, already several steps ahead.

Clink...tchk

As Rutaba landed, his feet met an unexpected resistance. Lilli had predicted his landing with unnerving accuracy, patiently waiting for the exact moment to disrupt his balance. With a flick of her wrist, she molded a section of the earth, subtly shifting it to the left, just enough to throw him off balance before he could defy gravity once more. This is just the beginning, she thought, a ruthless plan unfolding in her mind. The plate rotated beneath his feet, and with a surge of power, Lilli prepared to use the earth like a giant paddle, ready to swat Rutaba out of the ring and claim her victory.

Lilli’s trap triggered the instant Rutaba landed.

The section of arena beneath his feet twisted sharply with a grinding CLINK-TCHK, the earth shifting like a giant rotating paddle. His balance slipped for half a second as the platform tried to launch him straight out of the ring.

But instead of panicking—

Rutaba grinned.

“Ohhh, you planned that?!”

The crowd gasped as the slab FLUNG him sideways through the air. For one brief second, it looked like Lilli’s strategy had worked perfectly.

Then blue ki exploded around Rutaba mid-flight.

“HA!”

He twisted with the momentum, tail whipping hard as he turned the forced launch into speed. Orange-red sparks snapped violently around his body while he rocketed through the air in a wild arc above the arena.

The audience erupted.

Rutaba flipped once overhead, eyes locked directly onto Lilli. His grin sharpened as realization clicked.

“She keeps controlling where I step…”

His eyes flashed.

“So I just won’t give her steps!”

BOOOOM!!

Rutaba blasted back toward her at an erratic angle, zigzagging violently through the air with short explosive bursts of ki.

“You’re smart, Lilli!” he shouted while hurtling forward. “But you think too much!”

At the last second he vanished downward, blasting under the ring before erupting upward behind her in an explosion of shattered stone.

“FOUND YOU!”

He struck instantly with a fast body blow to the ribs, then chained straight into his signature technique.

“FURIOUS—”

BOOOOM!!

“—RUUUUUSH!!!”

Rutaba exploded forward like a wild animal — a relentless barrage of punches, elbows, spinning kicks, and rising knees. Blue ki and orange-red sparks detonated off his limbs with every strike as he pressed the attack without pause, laughing breathlessly the entire time.

He wasn’t just fighting.

He was having the time of his life.

Against all odds, the saiyan child, on the very edge of tumbling out of bounds, executed a breathtaking recovery. He twisted, a sudden, powerful coil of muscle, seizing control of his plummeting momentum mid-air. "Impressive," Lilli breathed, the word barely a whisper, intended only for Rutaba's ear, if even that. Lilli remained a pillar of unyielding vigilance; her eyes locked onto the saiyan as he zig zagged blazing across the sky. Her stance, a silent dance with the earth, subtly shifted, every fiber of her being attuning itself, poised for her next strike.

Rutaba: "You’re smart, Lilli!" Rutaba’s voice, a booming challenge, tore through the air, he bellowed, praising his opponent even before their battle concluded. "But you think too much!"

A faint smirk played on Lady Lilli's lips. Her opponent couldn't have been further from the truth; she didn't think so much as she reacted, each response a perfectly timed and calculated counter. Having spouted his nonsense, Rutaba instantly rocketed towards the earth. Despite his supernatural speed, Lilli's gaze remained locked, effortlessly tracking his descent. As he plunged, a formidable stone fist, crackling with Lilli's concentrated ki, erupted from the ground. It surged upwards, aimed squarely at the Saiyan child's face, poised to intercept his headlong rush towards the ring. If this attack connected, it would weaponize his own momentum, slamming him into a ki-reinforced, unyielding surface. The Saiyan child was utterly unprepared for a strategist like Lady Lilli. Her uncanny ability to read an opponent's movements alone made her a terrifying force, and with the power to manipulate the very earth beneath them, she transformed the battlefield into her personal domain.

"And you don't think at all, do you!?" Lilli's voice cut through the air, a sharp taunt directed at Rutaba, laced with a rhetorical challenge. Her hand shot up, clenching into a fist as she wound up for what she was certain would be the knockout blow. "CHAAAAA!!!!!" she roared, unleashing her battle cry, absolute certainty of victory ringing in her voice. The celebration was already beginning in her mind.

Rutaba twisted wildly at the edge of the arena, blue ki flaring as he forced himself back under control mid-air. When Lilli’s giant stone fist erupted toward him, he didn’t try to block it head-on.

“WHOA—!”

He slammed both feet against the incoming fist and used it like a springboard, launching himself forward even faster while the massive construct cracked behind him.

“Ohhh, you almost got me!!”

BOOOOM!!

He rocketed straight at Lilli with a wild laugh.

“FURIOUS RUUUUUSH!!!”

He slammed in close and unleashed a relentless storm of attacks — punches, elbows, spinning kicks, and knees chaining together without pause. When Lilli tried to counter with rising stone spikes, Rutaba twisted mid-combo, barely dodging the sharp points as they shot past him. He immediately dropped low and swept at her legs, forcing her to jump.

“AND THIS!”

The moment she was airborne, he flipped upward with a glowing knee strike. The instant she blocked it, Rutaba didn’t let up.

He planted his feet and roared:

“METEOR SMAAAASH RUUUUUSH!!!”

BOOOOM!!

He exploded forward like a living comet — flying knee strike first, followed by a heavy double-fisted hammer blow from above, a spinning kick, and a powerful stomping axe kick that slammed down with everything he had left. Blue ki and orange-red sparks detonated off his limbs with every strike as he poured all his remaining strength into the combo.

The final axe kick crashed into the arena floor with devastating force, sending a massive shockwave ripping through the ring and launching Lilli backward.

Rutaba skidded across the shattered tiles, breathing hard, covered in dirt and bruises, barely able to stay upright.

For a second the entire stadium went quiet.

Then slowly… his huge, tired grin came back.

“Heh…”

He wiped blood from his lip, then threw both fists into the air with everything he had left.

“I WON!!!”

The crowd erupted.
