The Great Khan

"For Death. For Glory. For the Khan."
“I will irrigate your family tree in blood”
“This world has become my slaughterhouse.”
"Do you truly think the Gates of Hell could hold me?"
“We shall see how brave you are as I break you and your wretched race into submission."

Personality
The Great Khan is a tyrant with a full understanding of his own dominance and control over the universe at large. It is his belief that to benefit oneself is useless unless it also aids who they claim allegiance to. His only needs that do not align with that of his Aphotic Imperium is the natural biological desire for sustenance. Proof is seen by how the only opulent items in his possession are his golden crown and the beads upon his neck. The reason being that the Great Khan views himself as nothing more than a cog in the machine that is his Imperium.
He expects this too of his people. Every single individual is nothing more than a tool, whether it be an instrument of war, or means of production. To be anything less is deserving of a fate far worse than death. It is what makes him such a dangerous leader because he has no love for his people, no concern when casualties arise. If someone is struck by a Ki Blast, they exhaust the enemy. If someone dies, their corpse is added to the pile, their body sent to processing to become something of value. If they slay an enemy then they did nothing more than their duty.
Such brutal methods are typically seen as unfavorable in the galaxy and it may be expected that he snuffs out a rebellion here and there. Nothing is further from the truth. The Great Khan has surprisingly gained the favor of each race that flies his banner. It is because above all things the Great Khan believes in equality. It does not matter to him how one appears, whether they are poor or rich, weak or strong as long as they do their job and do it well. He will keep them fed, keep them supplied, and above all keep them safe. For there are few willing to tread into his territory if it means raising his ire.
Loyalty, strength, and ambition are the three things that he values most in his subordinates. That is because the Great Khan believes that progress and strength is the crucible of all civilization. Without it the Imperium has no right to warrant anything. So that strength must be challenged time and time again, and when it is not sufficient, then progress needs to be made. It is why the Great Khan also finds himself constantly training despite the immense power and strength he already wields.
The Valtraxians are a race who have shown to embody all three of his values. Even greater than their strength or ambitions, however, is their loyalty. Though he may have transformed their world from basic planetary infighting to a militaristic fortress-world designed to breed the best and strongest, he has given them much in return. Medicine far beyond their years, industrial processes that improved basic life tenfold, a brand new power grid meant to last millennium, and more.
To be loyal to the Imperium is to be rewarded a hundred times over. It is why the Great Khan does not own anything of merit. It is not to keep himself away from the sin of opulence, but rather, improve those beneath his Imperium. And no race, no matter how humble, will deny a better tomorrow.
Despite having now treaded into the territory of being worshiped as a near-deity, the Great Khan is nothing more than man, shown in the most basic of all things: His hate. And his hatred is far more dangerous than anything in this universe. It is a weapon he guides with the precision of a surgeon. To be hated by the Great Khan is a fate far worse than death.
His first hate is the abominations who believe themselves superior to all others. Gods, Demons, and Angels embody this trait the most. In his mind no entity, no matter how strong, is truly divine. They are simply strong, nothing more, nothing less. His ultimate goal is to prove that if a God can bleed, then he will make them do so, until they’ve run out of years. Yet none know this fact as he has kept it hidden from even his closest advisors.
His second hate is one well known across the cosmos: Traitors. If a warrior of his realm betrays his brothers and sisters in battle by retreating, they are slaughtered. If a politician betrays his sons and daughters with reforms or laws meant to benefit themselves, their execution is public and gruesome. If a spy from another realm defects to join his Imperium, there is no hesitation, as he strikes them down before they can give him any information. Yet in rare cases, when he is truly angry, the Great Khan uses their still-living flesh to become something else entirely. Decorative furniture, pieces of art, articles of clothing, or the worst of the worst, a new specimen for his experimentations.

Fuck Around Recolor.png
It is rumored that the Great Khan of the Qaghans rose up from the Dead Sea itself. Many believe it to be just a myth, spread by his opposition, in fear of him. Little do they know just how close to reality this is. As the Khan, in secret, is not just a mere Qaghan.
He is a Ten'nōchi (天皇血, Blood Emperor). The thirty-nine trillion microbial cells that make up his cellular biology are the same ones found inside coral. Making him, in essence, a living biomass that is a host of a mass of biological organisms. Despite this, the Great Khan is a singular entity, who is able to manipulate his own biology in ways few might expect.
By molding the Ki inside of his own body he is able to shift his form to fit whatever he desires. Whether it be sprouting a mass of writhing tendrils from his back to shoot out with near bone-like protrusions at the end, or simply enhancing his own healing, or preparing biological defenses. The worst, however, is when he infects others and mutates them into coral-like beasts who are subjugated beneath his control. Which can only be done to those of weak will, weaker than himself, or are subjugated to his experimentations.
Though many wish to believe that the Great Khan is the only Ten'nōchi to exist in the grand design of Qaghans, that is a falsity. Shōkachi had been the first, followed by Mahatama, and it is rumored to have developed even earlier into the Nozarashi bloodline. Though no historic evidence proves this amongst the Qaghans due to much of their knowledge having been burned. Nevertheless, one thing is for certain, the Birth of a Ten'nōchi means one of two things. An era of prosperity and peace is coming or one built on the foundation of war and conflict that is galaxy wide.
