“Please stop looking at me..."

Character Name: Obo
Alias: That sweaty guy
Actual Age: 23
Physical Age: 23
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 168 lbs
Orientation: Aromantic Asexual
Gender/Pronouns: He/They
Race: Namekian
Place Of Origin: New Namek
Current Residence: Wandering
Relatives: N/A
Personality:
Obo is a sweaty individual, which is what most people will probably notice about him first. He is hardworking and takes orders like a dog, working to the bone if you ask him. He is also very anxious as a person and is timid of others. Both of these features stem from a deep-seated lack of self-esteem. Obo can't seem to fathom the gravity of any of his accomplishments and is very hard on himself, so much so that he tends to see himself as inferior to others, especially those who gloat or seem confident.
Once you get through his sheepish demeanor, Obo is a kind-hearted soul. He would give you the shirt off his back, and that is all he has. He refuses to sell out his morals for his gain and is willing to sacrifice himself for others without a second thought. He is still off-puttingly sweaty and meek, but the more he opens up around people, the more his demeanor softens into a genuine, gentle, and sweet soul. Obo's lack of self-esteem lends itself to his humility; he is a good sport and very patient.
Despite his good nature, there is a crushing flaw in Obo's personality: jealousy. He desires strength and reputation and wishes his basic needs were more adequately met. Seeing other people squander the gifts they have been given in life will get his scorn, and those who misuse wealth, power, or influence are likely to get a rise from this soft-spoken warrior.
Obo becomes a very different person when he fights, likely because the warrior he fused with had far more experience and skill in a battle. Where Obo is often meek, his silence becomes callous rather than sheepish. He becomes calm, confident, and calculating, and while by no means cruel, Obo is willing to use very brutal strikes to achieve victory. He fights like a true warrior tested on the battlefield, like someone who has fought for their life before, a perfect blend of fury and wisdom.

Ki Effects: Ki barrier
Ki Effects Description:
Obo's ki is peculiar in that it seems to cling to his body rather than flow forth. While others' ki tends to be this fiery blaze around them that emboldens as they power up and falters as they weaken, Obo's ki is like a bubble. It perfectly encases his body, and while it does get bigger as he charges up his power, it does so only minimally. While other auras tend to flutter and wisp about like flames, Obo's ki shudders, a warbling like a tranquil pool that just had a pebble ripple through it's surface.
Ki barrier: Obo's Aura is like a suit of armor around his body. It helps absorb damage, though it can not completely nullify the impact. Ki attacks are significantly less effective against Obo, as the barrier more severely reduces them. The more Ki Obo has used, the weaker this barrier becomes.
Basic Techniques
-Flight: Using a very minimal amount of ki and a good amount of concentration, the user can both hover and fly at tremendous speeds.
-Ki sense: Reaching out with their mind, the user can detect the life or ki signature of a living being. This gives a rough idea of location, strength and the way the person's ki functions.
-Ki Manipulation: The user makes their Ki signature change to be virtually undetectable or just to lower their power level.
-After image: By moving exceptionally fast in a sudden burst, the user leaves behind a life-like image of themselves, practically creating a hologram. This 'hologram' only lasts for a few moments. With the help of Ki manipulation, the user can make their ki signature momentarily follow the afterimage and even make the afterimage move.
-Evil Flight strike: A melee attack practice and used by Namekian Warriors, designed to block incoming attacks and force enemies away. The user becomes a whirling durvesh, flinging their rapidly stretching arms about to make a tornado of strikes.
-Light Grenade: The user puts their hands together in front of them as they charge a yellow energy sphere in their hands. Then, they bring their hands forward and fire the energy sphere, inflicting a massive amount of damage. The ki attack explodes on impact and makes a huge blast of light, momentarily blinding those who look at it.
-Evil Cannon: A large ki attack from the mouth, takes a lot of energy, but can be a hard-hitting, fast-activating attack to surprise a foe with.
-Eye Lasers: Small, weak ki attacks made from the eyes. Costs very little ki but is hardly any stronger than the average ki blast.
-Super Guard: Using their Ki the user creates a small energy barrier between them and the world. For a small amount of time, this makes them virtually invulnerable to attacks.
Signature Techniques
-Darkness rush: The user uses their elastic arms to reach out and catch an opponent. If they do, they pull them into a barrage of punches before sending them flying, only to finish the enemy in the air with an extra potent eye laser.
-Super destructive wave: The user stands charging energy around their body, then they explode with a gigantic energy sphere around their body
-Mystic Flash: The user turns behind them and unleashes a wide but short-range blast of fiery ki. This attack is fused with magic, making it more effective against abilities that defend against Ki attacks. This attack, while fast, powerful, and magical, does take an inordinate amount of ki.
Ultimate Techniques
-Devil's claw: A long, wide arching ki attack that slices through the air. The user charges the attack by putting their arms to one side, behind them, like they are about to swing a two-handed axe. When they swing, the energy comes from their fingertips into a powerful ki attack. Unlike all the other attacks Obo has, the ki attack is red.
Special Racial Traits:
Enhanced Hearing: Namekians' sense of hearing is far greater than that of Humans.
Regeneration: Namekians are an extremely resilient race, capable of surviving nearly any damage to their anatomy and able to regrow it instantly, provided at least that their brains are intact, and they retain enough ki. This does not make them completely invulnerable, though, as the more extreme levels of self-healing, like restoring entire limbs, take a large amount of reserve energy to perform and is quite painful. As such, if a Namekian is sufficiently exhausted, the injuries they take can ultimately cause them to die.
Stretchy body: Namekians are capable of extending their limbs and elongating beyond the lengths a human would be able to.
Namekian Fusion/Fission: Namekians have an assimilation technique where they can permanently join themselves with other members of their race. When this is done, one of the Namekians serves as the base and gains the skills, memories, and many of the personality traits of the other. A single Namekian is also theoretically capable of separating into two.

Ascension Path
Transformation Log: Obo currently has no transformations. It will likely stay that way.

Obo was born on Namek in a clutch of eggs like most Namekians, and like most Namekians, he was raised communally in his small village, tending to crops and the household alike. Around his 8th birthday, Obo was given a standard test to determine which caste he was best suited for. A shaman peered into the potential Obo had and determined he was best suited to be a warrior.
And so, barely a child, Obo was taken from his home and placed in a barracks where he would stay for the rest of his life, tirelessly training and learning to defend himself. Life was a grueling slog of constant combat drills, militant discipline, and pain. Despite the harsh environment, Obo strived to prove himself and wanted to make his instructor proud. This made it all the more crushing when time and time again he failed his advancement trials, falling behind the other warriors. His life became far worse when his instructor singled him out, hoping to light a fire under Obo to fuel him to work harder, but Obo was always just a sliver too weak, too nervous to strike, never as good as his foes.
To further his punishments beyond humiliating chores and extra training, the instructor began enforcing his punishments on the entire class, and as such, the other students began to take their anger out on Obo. Name-calling and insults at first, but eventually the hazing turned into full-fledged violence. Namekians regenerated fast, but Obo was left too beaten to practice more than once.
Angry with his fellow warriors and his instructor, Obo decided to sneak into the other classes to see what he was not being taught. He learned many ki techniques and martial arts this way, but also a new way of gaining power: Namekian fusion.
Finding an old veteran who would donate his strength was easy enough for Obo, especially compared to the lifetime of hard knocks he had received. The power boost was immaculate, and when Obo tried out for his next advancement, he passed with flying colors. Unfortunately, his Instructor recognized his techniques and the change in his Aura. Namekian fusion was meant to be a 'last resort,' and Obo's unnecessary use of the technique was deemed sacrilege by the elders, who sentenced Obo to exile.
Obo has left Namek and is not able to look back. He makes what money he can using his newly acquired strength, either for mundane work or combat sports. He hopes to one day prove himself to the Namekians so he may return home.
