Name: Qaghans
New Homeworld: Konkishō (礁紺, Great Azure Reef)
Environment: Konkishō is not the original homeworld of the Qaghans. It took many years to find one suitable, but only a day to conquer it, slaying every inhabitant that resided. The Great Khan then took it upon himself to reshape it in his image. Slowly but surely, the Great Khan terraformed it into a paradise, built to honor his people and their histories. It is an island world filled to the brim with deep blue seas, coral reefs unlike any other in the galaxy, and more life in the ocean than the entirety of even some of the most city-dense planets.
Naming Scheme: Qaghan is the alternative world to the turkish/mongolic name “Khagan”, which means, “Khan of Khans” and is their version of “King of Kings”.
During a period known as the Kurakai (暗回, Dark Age), or more notably referred to as the Naisen Khan (可汗内戦, Civil War of Sovereigns), a naming scheme was developed pinpointing which Qaghan was tied to which lineage. However, that time ended when Mahātmā struck down his brother and rose to power to bring a large subsect of the Qaghans into a new age, known as Tōsui Kaika (陶酔開化, Euphotic Enlightenment). He continued the naming scheme so that later generations may find it easier to find who they tie too. As complex as such a thing may seem, in truth, it is quite simple. Every descendant of Mahātmā begins their name with the letter ‘M’. Mahākāla (大黒, Beyond Time), Musei (無精, Soulless), Meiyo (名誉, Honorable) are a few examples of Great Khans who, albeit being years apart, still share that same lineage.
The only lineage which it is considered taboo to date oneself back too is that of Temujin himself. Due to this, there has been no Qaghan in centuries that has taken on a name starting with “T”. If a Qaghan is caught attempting to grant their children the “T” scheme, they are brought before the current Great Khan to determine their punishment. The last time this occurred, the individual was nailed to a cross after having the flesh flayed from their body, kept alive through dark magics so that their suffering lasted for forty days and forty nights.
Appearance: The Qaghans were once a beautiful race of near-humans that continuously waged war on Konkishō, leading to constant civil wars, unable to be united. Years of constant evolution brought into existence a terror not known before. They were less regarded as superhuman and something beyond, but even so, the Great Khan had ideals to further them.
Some resisted and they too were transformed, subjugated to the will of a single man, unable to know their prior beauty. Crustaceous beings whose shells are that of warriors in coralline armor with mouthflaps that open to devour their prey. Coral-men who manipulate water and reefs, appearing more akin to Eldritch Deities than anything of this universe. Beasts with selachiimorphic skulls, gills, and fins who rip and tear anything in their paths. Sorcerers with elongated craniums, large bulbed-eyes, and an endless series of cephalopodic tendrils dangling over their ravenous mouths.
The rest continue existing as they once were with the only changes to their physical form being natural evolutions over time to survive their environments. Some tall, muscular, and hardy with fiery red manes and pale skin. Others have slender, tanned skin, with fine dark hairs. Though once in a great while there are those with skins of burnt umber, eyes the color of gold, but still retain the blood of their ancestors pouring through them.
All still bow before the Great Khan.
Racial Traits: Immense Strength, Stamina & Durability | Immense Speed, Endurance & Agility | Immense Perception

Ritual Dance: Strange as it may seem the art of the dance was crafted long before Temujin's birth. It is not as graceful as many are led to believe. It is a tribal dance meant to invigorate warriors before battle, often done in front of their foes. Facial contortions, slapping the hands and fist against the body, stomping feet, and unleash war-cries, chanting mantras, shouts and grunts. Known as the Shiobuyō (潮舞踊, Tidal Dance) it was meant to increase a warrior's inner strength, at that time called the Jōsei Hadō (上精波動, Rising Spirit Wave). Of course, as scientific progress continued and the way their bodies worked were discovered, it turned out this was simply Ki and an alternate way of channeling and powering up. In the modern day, the Shiobuyo is still performed, during festivals, to initiate challenges, before games, training, or even real conflict if led by a Qaghan who embodies tradition.
Maisōumi (海埋葬, Sea Burial): The Maisōumi is a once in a lifetime ritual in which a Qaghan is placed beneath water, similar to Namaken (権生, Right to Life). the birth ritual where an infant is held under flowing water for thirty seconds and is only deemed worthy of living if they survive. Unlike the Namaken, however, the Qaghan is held under even as they begin to drown. During this time period extreme hallucinations begin to occur though it is not known as to why. The Qaghan is unconscious during this time as their subconscious fights the hallucination that takes the form of a monstrous beast born from their fears. If they manage to defeat the beast before their death they rise up from the waters stronger as if a dormant power has been brought out from them.

Race History
The Qaghans are an ancient race that are said to have existed long before the Saiyans, Yardrats, and even Namekians. Yet their years of constant infighting and civil wars had brought them to a point to where it was difficult for any real scientific progress to be made. It is not until a Qaghan Male, born as Inoru was reborn as Temujin and became the first Great Khan of the Qaghan Race, but even so he was challenged time and time again as he made a slow trek across their original homeworld. When Temujin died, Tetsuko took his place, but failed all the same.
It continued on this way for hundreds of years as those who took the mantle of the Great Khan attempted to unite the race. Until one day, the subsect of Qaghans who supported the idea of unification started fighting, leading them into the Kurakai During this period any hopes of unification became futile and for a thousand years war raged across their planet. It is not until Mahatama, known for his spiritualism, took hold of the mantle and forced a majority of the world to their knees.
The trials and tribulations of uniting the race did not occur until recently when the Great Khan, Muteki, brought it to heel. The death and devastation he reigned nearly broke the planet and its people. He alone proved to them why their people were always compared to the oceans of their world; wild, strong, and untamable. United they have become an unstoppable force in the galaxy that have conquered even the mighty Valtraxians and have sights set on many others.
To be a Qaghan in today’s time is to be a part of the cruelest and bloodiest race known in the deepest reaches of space. It is to enter a war-torn world filled with death and strife and thrive. It is to be a slayer, a reaver, a reaper of all those who stand before you. It is to know that peace is a bygone relic of the past, that strength rules all, and that those who oppose are met with carnage and slaughter until their extinction.
